Veterans First Congressional Action Plan

Georgia continues to face workforce shortages across construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, transportation, logistics, and skilled trades. Veterans possess the leadership, discipline, and technical skills needed to fill these roles. I will support programs that strengthen veteran employment pipelines and improve credential transfer from military service to civilian careers.

Too many service members leave active duty without a clear pathway to employment and stability. I support expanding transition assistance efforts that connect service members to careers, training, apprenticeships, and support networks before separation.

Veterans struggling with addiction, trauma, and behavioral health challenges deserve access to effective support systems. I will advocate for improved access to treatment, recovery resources, peer support programs, and community based services that promote long term stability.

No veteran should fall through the cracks due to housing instability. I support efforts that prioritize early intervention, housing stabilization, workforce reintegration, and coordinated community support to prevent homelessness before it occurs.

Veteran owned businesses create jobs and strengthen local economies. I will support policies that expand opportunities for veteran entrepreneurs, improve access to federal contracting opportunities, and encourage partnerships between veterans and private industry.

Rather than creating new layers of bureaucracy, I believe in working with the organizations already serving veterans on the ground. Across Georgia, dedicated veteran service organizations, nonprofits, employers, recovery programs, housing providers, and community partners are producing real results every day. My office will actively engage these partners to help identify veterans in need, connect them to services, and support solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

A congressional office should be more than a legislative office. It should be a resource for veterans seeking help. My office will maintain strong relationships with veteran service organizations, community partners, employers, and local governments to ensure veterans can access the assistance they need.

Georgia’s veterans deserve action, accountability, and results. By strengthening partnerships, improving access to benefits, supporting workforce participation, expanding opportunities for veteran owned businesses, and connecting veterans to effective community based solutions, we can help more veterans move from instability to self sufficiency while strengthening our communities, workforce, and economy.
